Which cities work?

Vidona shows departures where it has a transit-agency feed: Helsinki (HSL), London (TfL), Berlin-Brandenburg (VBB), and Rome (Roma Mobilità). If you open the app outside a covered area, the board will be empty — that's expected, not a bug. More cities are on the way.

Why does it guess which bus I'm on — and what if it's wrong?

When you're moving, Vidona estimates which line you've boarded from motion, your path, and live vehicle positions. It only shows a guess when it's reasonably sure. If the guess is wrong, tap it and choose your line from the list — your choice sticks for the rest of the ride. If none fit, choose "None of these" and it goes quiet.

The nearby board shows a stop that's far away

The board re-centres as you move. If it looks stale, pull down to refresh, and make sure Location is allowed for Vidona in iOS Settings. If a clearly far-away stop still appears, email us with the city and roughly where you were.

How do I save a stop?

Open a stop and tap the star to pin it. Pinned stops appear on the home screen sorted by how close you are, and become searchable from Spotlight.

Battery and data

Vidona uses location and motion only while it's open, and is built to keep data use low — it's meant to be usable while roaming abroad. Closing the app stops the sensing.

Ads and consent

Vidona is free and supported by ads. You can review or change your ad-consent choice any time from the About screen. See the privacy policy for what's collected.
