Put TfL departures on your iPhone Lock Screen

A Lock Screen widget is the fastest way to check your next TfL departure: raise your phone and the countdown is already there. Vidona's widgets tick on their own — no app launch, no spinner.

How to set it up

  1. Get Vidona

Download Vidona free from the App Store. It opens straight to the departure board for the stops around you — no account, no city picker.

  2. Save your stop

Find the stop or station you use every day (it's usually already on screen) and save it as a favourite.

  3. Add the widget

Long-press your Lock Screen, tap Customise, choose the widget area, and add Vidona. Rectangular and inline sizes are available.

  4. Choose the stop

Tap the widget to pick which favourite it shows. Each widget can show a different stop — one for the morning commute, one for the way home.

Frequently asked

Does the widget show live times?

Yes — it shows a live countdown for your chosen stop, and it keeps ticking between updates. Tap it and Vidona opens straight to that stop's full board.

Does it work for buses and the Tube?

Yes — any TfL stop or station Vidona can show, a widget can show: bus stops, Tube, Overground, DLR, Elizabeth line and trams.

Do the widgets show ads?

No. Vidona is free and ad-supported inside the app, but widgets stay ad-free.

Your stop, before you ask.

Vidona shows live departures for the stops around you the moment it opens — then keeps them on your Lock Screen, in Spotlight, and a sentence to Siri away.
